Esthé van Wyk, previously from Bloemfontein, now resides in Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. She has sung for many years in the opera houses of Durban and Bloemfontein. She has also sung many leading roles in operas, operettas, musicals, Broadway and Cabaret productions.


Esthé  participated in large productions such as La Bohéme, Il Pagliacci, Don Giovanni, Zauberflöte, Die Fledermaus, Merry Widow, Oratoria (The Messiah) and Fiddler on the Roof, to name but a few. She has twice been a winner of the coveted Nederburg prize for opera.


Esthé has performed under directors such as Enayat Rezai, David Matheson, Angelo Gobbato, and others. She has worked with choreographer Geoffrey Sutherland, and conductors David Tidboald, Gerhard Geist, Franco Ferraris, and others.


Her performances have been for PACOFS Opera Orchestra, Natal Philharmonic Orchestra and other notable organizations. In "Fiddler on the Roof," she performed with Gordon Mulholland, and in other productions she sang alongside Gé Korsten, Lawrence Folley, Hans van Heerden and many of South Africa's finest voices. She has regularly sung as soloist with symphony orchestras and has recently performed in a series of Viennese concerts.
